Since her admission Stacey has worked for over 10 years in private practice within the commercial, corporate and property law spaces advising not-for-profits and religious institutions as well as both small and large businesses across a range of industries including property development, banking and finance, retail and hospitality and construction. Stacey’s experiences includes:
Acting for foreign investors in an initial $33million purchase of any interest in a Victorian gold mine and ongoing joint venture agreements for the operation and exploration of the mine;
- Acting for a waste management company in the successful $16 million sale of the shares in the company to a listed corporation;
- Advising on the incorporation and related constitutions and shareholders agreements for various start-up companies;
- Acting for a multi-site medical centre in the successful +$6 million sale of its medical practice;
- Acting for a commercial lending firm offering multimillion dollar funding for a broad range of commercial purchases and developments and securing their interests with appropriate documentation and mortgages;
- Acting for foreign franchisor companies in establishing franchise operations in Australia including advising on structure and asset protection matters, general corporate compliance and preparation of franchise agreements;
- Acting for a property developer in respect of their +$100 million development of 200+ residential apartments in the inner suburbs of Melbourne, VIC to achieve the successful construction and subsequent sale of the apartments.
- Acting for a property developer in relation to the development, construction and sale of a commercial/residential hub that involves 300+ residential apartments, retail spaces and park lands in the western suburbs of Melbourne.
Stacey is passionate about helping clients to achieve legal outcomes that are both pragmatic and commercial. She loves to work collaboratively with clients to better understand their needs and ensure that her advice takes in the ‘big picture’ and is always of value.
Outside of practising law, you can find Stacey spending time with her young family and being actively involved in her church community having served in various board and committee roles for religious institutions and singing in worship services. Stacey also holds a Graduate Diploma in Theology from Harvest Bible College.
